New navigation km

     New kilometrage of waterways on Elbe in Czech Republic is implementating under the rule of revised rule number 114/1995 Sb., about inland navigation with effect from 1.1.2009. Existing navigation kilometrage marked in terrain and river kilometrage of River Labe Basin Authority using for waterwork and objects evidence is formally supplying.

     Change of kilometrage is motivated especially with implementation river information services RIS and the pursuit of surveing topographical orientation on the waterway.  Kilometrage begins on the state border in Hřensko - 726,6 km and continue continental up stream. Km 730 correspond with 0  german kilometrage. Junction Vltava-Elbe which was originally beginning of czech navigation kilometrage is 838,37 km at present. Chvalitice port is on 940,20 km.

     New kilometrage will begin shouldering in terrain in March 2009. State nagivation administration will inform about the process as a navigation office, waterway directory will inform about the process as an investor. New kilometrage will be shoulder up to Kunětice nad Pardubicemi to the end of 2010.


     In terms of government document and vessels leader reporst will be new kilometrage using from 1.1.2009 togeher with original kilometrage.
